From washing roofs, moss and mould protection, to preparing for roof painting.
Moss and lichen can cause severe damage to your roof, and shorten its lifespan.
Lichen roots burrow into the finish, eventually causing it to flake, blister and peel away, exposing the roofing material to the elements and causing it to fail. No roofing finish is immune.
Moss holds moisture in its structure, which prevents parts of your roof from drying out except in long dry spells.
Any roof is rated for average rainfall, and does not take into account the effect of continued moisture. What is more, moss will dislodge once it is large enough, and can block valleys and water channels on interlocking tiles, causing water to enter the property through the roof, or block the guttering/spouting system.
Your roof should not be water blasted unless you are re-painting.
